There is a well-demarcated area of erythema. Note, as well, the associated edema in the pre-ocular tissues. Careful assesment of vision, motility, and the remainder of the ocular exam showed no evidence of orbital cellulitis (a more serious condition). Preseptal cellulitis can be treated with oral antibiotics.
