Vitamin A deficiency: Buphthalmos OD and phthisis bulbi OS

The same disease produced diametrically different conditions in the patient's eyes, i.e. enlargement OD and shrinkage OS. Dr. Caccamise uses the word buphthalmos for a secondary infantile or juvenile glaucoma involving OD in this case.
