55-year-old man with Marfan syndrome and ectopia lentis.
This patient had mature cataractous lenses in both eyes that had dislocated completely and were freely floating in the vitreous. Of interest, he experienced severe vision loss when lying down as the lenses settled over his macula. Due to significant axial myopia, he only required +4.00 D of lens correction in each eye to achieve 20/20 acuity. Now that's a body that knows how to take care of itself!
