Here we show a technique for establishing early flow in a non-valved seton. In these devices, the tube must be occluded for several weeks to allow a capsule to form around the plate (thereby avoiding hypotony). Fenestrations may be placed anterior to the ligature suture to allow early flow until the tube may be safely allowed to flow more fully. Here we demonstrate one approach to this technique, while discussing common considerations.
