Stereo visual acuity

Stereo visual acuity is determined using special polarized glasses which should fit over the patient's glasses. The patient is presented with a book which has various diagrams. If the patient has stereo vision, some of the diagrams will appear to have depth. The patient is asked to point out which of the diagrams have depth. Depending on the number of diagrams correctly identified, the acuity of the patient's stereo vision can be determined.
