Central posterior synechiae (CPS) in the setting of tubulointerstitial nephritis and uveitis syndrome (TINU)

Central posterior synechiae (CPS) are adhesions between the iris at the pupillary margin and anterior lens capsule that can occur in settings of intraocular inflammation. This patient has panuveitis related to tubulointerstitial nephritis and uveitis syndrome (TINU). As seen here, the CPS are very apparent after pharmacologic dilation as they mechanically restrict the pupil from expanding.
