Incipient cortical cataract: the inferior nasal quadrant axiom

The highest percentage of incipient cortical cataracts will be found by examining the inferior nasal quadrant out to the equator under full mydriasis. This will be especially fruitful if a properly mirrored Goldmann diagnostic contact lens is used under slit-lamp examination.
