Tom Oetting
Thomas A. Oetting, MD

Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences
Dr. Tom Oetting is the Rudy and Margaret Perez Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Iowa. After graduating from Duke University School of Medicine, he completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of Iowa. He is currently the Residency Program Director and the Chief of the Veterans Administration Eye Clinic. He is interested in using social media and internet based educational material to enhance resident and post graduate education. He has received numerous teaching and service awards from the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive surgeons, the Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology and the University of Iowa.
Tom Weingeist
Thomas A. Weingeist, MD, PhD

Emeritus Professor of Ophthalmology
Dr. Thomas Weingeist is an Emeritus Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Iowa. He completed a Ph.D. in cell biology at Columbia University and his M.D. degree at the University of Iowa. He has published more than 200 peer-reviewed papers and numerous textbooks. He served as the Department Head from 1986 through 2005. He was president of the Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He was Senior Secretary for Education of the AAO and was instrumental in developing EyeNet Magazine. He was EyeNet Magazine's first medical editor. Dr. Weingeist's commitment to medical education is unparalleled and strong today as one of the editors for EyeRounds and eyeOrbit.
Jordan Graff
Jordan M. Graff, MD University of Iowa

Dr. Jordan Graff graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.S. and received his medical degree at the University of California, Irvine Medical School. He completed a one year internal medicine internship at the University of Iowa where he received the Intern-of-the-Year award. Dr. Graff is helping to build the EyeRounds.org site and is currently working to write educational materials for eye patients. Dr. Graff is an editor for EyeRounds and eyeOrbit.
Andy Doan
Andrew Doan, MD, PhD
Comprehensive Ophthalmology, Ocular Pathology, and Aerospace Medicine Assistant Professor of Surgery, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences
After graduating from Reed College with a B.A. in Biology, Dr. Andrew Doan completed his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees in Neuroscience at The Johns Hopkins University, School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Iowa and an ocular pathology fellowship at the Jules Stein Eye Institute. As an ophthalmology resident, he began publishing online the photographs of cases and Morning Rounds presentations. Dr. Doan started EyeRounds to share cases with students, physicians, and patients around the world. For his creation of EyeRounds, Dr. Doan received the University of Iowa's Distinguished Alumni Award for Early Career Achievement. After his time at Iowa, Dr. Doan served as the Chair for the Young Ophthalmologist Committee, Online News & Education Network Deputy Editor-in-Chief, and an OPHTHPAC/Congressional Advocacy Committee member for the American Academy of Ophthalmology. During his service on the Young Ophthalmologist Committee, he helped to create the online resource EyeWiki. In addition, Dr. Doan served as a Risk Management Committee Member for the Ophthalmic Mutual Insurance Company. Currently, Dr. Doan is an active duty physician in the United States Navy as an ophthalmologist and aerospace medicine specialist.
