A27: Pseudodendrite

Q28: How does the appearance of a pseudodendrite differ from that of a true dendrite?

A28: Pseudodendrites tend to be smaller and less branching than true dendrites with blunt ends and no terminal bulbs.  Epithelial cells are swollen and heaped, resulting in an elevated lesion that lacks central ulceration.

Q29: What is the most likely diagnosis?

A29: Herpes Zoster (varicella zoster virus) epithelial keratitis
